What we’re about
We meet at the Eagle’s Lodge # 4250, 3451 63rd Ave No. Pinellas Park, FL 33781 EVERY Monday except for holidays.
The Eagle’s Lodge is easy to find. From US 19 turn west at the Wawa. Go past the storage facility and enter the parking lot on the right. Enter the unlocked door on the west side of the building.
We welcome singers and players of acoustic (no-amplified) instruments such as the guitar, ukulele (if you can capo it or transpose on the fly), violin, mandolin, etc. ALSO, bring your harmonicas, flutes, washboards, beat-box, etc. No need to bring paper copies of songs as chords and lyrics will be displayed on a big screen TV. I have a large song library. If you want to contribute songs and/or lead a specific song, email me for details. ([email protected]). Otherwise, come to the Meetup with a list of at least 3 well known songs that you would like the group to play. Each person gets a turn to call the name of the song that’s next!
PLEASE RSVP - you and your guest/s as SPACE IS LIMITED to 18 (eighteen). Please cancel your RSVP if you are not able to attend.
We begin at 7 PM. Please arrive a few minutes early to allow time for greetings, set up, tuning, purchasing a beverage, and general settling in. There is a “CASH ONLY” BAR is operating on the premises. Since this is a restaurant, no outside food or beverages are allow to be brought in. So sorry: No water bottles. Bottled water is for sale at the bar.
Enter on the door at the back of the building. This is a non-smoking venue! However, there is a smoking space available.
Suggested donations of $5 are gratefully accepted at the venue, this helps pay for expenses such as membership fees to the host and to Meetup. JUST LOOK FOR THE GREEN HAT to help pay for the event.
To join us, you should:
Come ready to participate. Have a list of at least 3 songs you want to play
Be open to most kinds of music (we’re mostly unfamiliar with classical or rap)
Players, have a guitar and capo, or other acceptable instrument. .
Please be able to play basic chords, e.g. A, Am, C, D, E, Em F, G and have a basic understanding of song structure, and be prepared to listen to the group to stay in time with the music.

Play and sing with other guitarists and musicians
Make new friends
Share songs you like, or wrote, and maybe even show us how to play them
Learn new and old songs and expand your repertoire
Share playing tips with others
