Women's Book Club Event: The Marriage of Opposites by Alice Hoffman

Join a group of women for a dinner and discussion of the book, "The Marriage of Opposites" by Alice Hoffman. This book received the most votes from the members who voted. Some possible discussion topics will be posted before the event.

When you sign up you are committing to come to this event, as reservations will be made at the restaurant and they will be staffing up to accommodate us. A reminder will be sent to you through Meetup about a week before the event. If you need to cancel, please do so that time so the restaurant can be notified. Also, last minute cancellations and no-shows do not allow others on the waitlist to attend in your absence. Therefore, in order for us to successfully manage the group, after two event cancellations on the day of the event or two no-shows will result in removal from the group. Thank you for understanding.

The event will take place on Friday, December 13, 2024 at 6:00 PM at Whiskey Cake Kitchen and Bar located at 27800 Interstate 45 N, Oak Ridge North (The Woodlands), TX 77385. You will be responsible for paying for anything that you order.

This is a women's adult only group. Our goal is to keep our events as friendly and fun as possible, and we believe in treating others with respect and dignity, even if we disagree with what they may have to say. This group is not associated with any political or religious beliefs, so in the spirit of keeping events as friendly and fun as possible, we ask that political and religious conversations not be a part of our discussions. Since it's important for each person at an event to have the opportunity to express her thoughts, we also ask for sensitivity from all members as far as not dominating the discussion.
