Full Moon Fire Ceremony π₯
Our local Shaman friend Shannon O'Flaherty, who has led some lovely rituals and ceremonies for our Conscious Cafe Skipton community on the year's quarter days, regularly offers a Full Moon Ceremony in her garden in Ilkley. She is inviting you to join her. She usually holds these on the actual Full Moon day or three days either side.
This month the event will be this Sunday π with the actual Full Moon the same night. December is known is known as the Cold Moon getting its name because it happens in one of the coldest months. On this night, the air feels extra crisp, the stars shine a little brighter, and the moon glows with a soft, silver light. It's like the moon is telling us old stories and inviting us to enjoy quiet, cozy nights. It's les than a week to the Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year.
Shannon says: "Acknowledging the presence of the Full Moon is about ending one cycle and beginning a new one. To let go, invite in, find balance and connect with your higher knowing and connection to Source. Fire π₯ transmutes heavy energy to light! Itβs amazing how much taking things to the fire can alter your life! ππ "
Bring a small stick about the size of a pencil.
WEATHER NOTE: Although the fire ceremony dates are all on Meetup fixed in advance, as we get close to the evening, if big rain is forecast for that particular night, Shannon may advocate a date change to a dry night as all the events are outside in her garden!
Venue is Chez Shannon's in Ilkley. House number given to those who book. Please arrive at 6.45pm for a prompt 7pm start. Depending on the numbers, the ceremony will be over within 2 hours leaving time for a hot drink and review.
A donation of Β£5 is requested for this offering to cover hospitality and Meetup costs.
