Join our Conversation Meetup where you can chat with new friends while contributing to linguistics research and enjoying some drinks!!
{ Hi, I'm Lizzy! I'm a PhD candidate at Northern Arizona University. I'm traveling across the country to collect data for this linguistics project (part of my dissertation). I'd love to meet you at an event. }
Those who come to these events will complete a 2-minute survey. Then, you can enjoy your conversations for as long as you'd like! The conversations will be recorded (and will of course be anonymized before they're used for research). Your first drink is on me :)
The guidelines for participation are:
(a) only 2-3 people can be involved in each conversation (you can come with a friend or make new friends at the event!),
(b) each participant must be at least 18 years old,
(c) each participant must speak English as a primary language, and
(d) each participant must have lived in the US since before elementary school
