What weâre about
This is a group for all rock and metal listeners in Copenhagen (and the surroundings), who want to meet other metalheads. Whether you like the riffs in trash metal, fantasy in power metal, paganism in folk metal, growls of death metal or shrieks of black metal you are welcome to join us.
*Please take 2 minutes to read the following, so you can get the best out of this group.
About our group
We are a super easy-going bunch of people â both Danes and internationals â who love to listen to and/or play heavier music (metal, rock, punk and everything in between) and just want to help connect those in Copenhagen & its surroundings with new friends and introduce them to different bands, genres and venues. We love live music, jamming, and going down the pub to chat (with or without drinks: your call). If you havenât been to one of our events yet, you totally should. Weâre not that scary, honest.
Attendance policy
We understand that life happens and things change, but please try and let us know if youâve signed up to an event but wonât make it. Otherwise we might spend the entire night worrying about you.
Serial offenders will be marked as non-attendees, just so that our hard-working hosts know not to spend too much time waiting for/contacting them.
As Jesus once said: 'Thou shalt not RSVP Yes on Meetup and then stay at home in thine pyjamas watching Netflix without letting me know, or I cannot promise to save thy soul.'
And as Lucifer said: 'If thou have been flagged as a "no show" three times. Meaning: RSVP'd Yes, not showed up and not notified anyone, thou willst be excluded from the meetup group. Wankpuffin.' \m/
Events
Most of our meetups are created by the organisers, but we strongly encourage all members to be active and suggest events.
You can do so by writing to one of the organisers, or starting a discussion (see group's main page).
So if youâre a concert-freak and always up-to-date with all the metal events in the area, your knowledge will definitely be useful to us!
Or if you decide to go to a concert and would like to meet other people who share your taste in bands, we can create an event for you. In that case, you'll have the responsibility of being a âhostâ. Itâs not as hard as it sounds. You just have to choose a meeting place/time and make sure that the attendees are aware of it by writing private messages and/or comments in the event page. **
**
And you can also suggest events in the Facebook group, but mind that not all the people from meetup are members of the FB group, so you'd reach more people by starting a new discussion on meetup. **

The Facebook group
Yeah, we have one of those. Find it here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/254082381762001/
We use it to float ideas about possible events, new venues, or just to see if anyone is up for going out or playing some music together. Join it, use it, invite your friends. Interaction is the key to new connections (but remember to stick to the rulesâŚ)
Group rules
(TL;DR â Donât provoke unnecessarily, but also donât be a massive snowflake.)
This should be self-explanatory to anyone accustomed to conducting themselves in society, but letâs set it out in writing anyway.
Just be excellent to each other. Respect the diverse range of nationalities, personalities and music tastes represented in the group.
Unacceptable behaviour includes, but is not limited to:
Racism, Sexism, Ageism, Classism, Ableism, Genreism, Jism, Homophobia, Xenophobia, Making people feel in any way uncomfortable, Trolling, Shameless advertising, Causing avoidable arguments, Not taking a joke.
NB. Swearing is allowed, otherwise we would have to kick ourselves out of the group, but swearing with the intent of causing offence is not ok.
Hope to see/meet you very soon!
