Hikers have a breathtaking view of Lake Pleasant.
The hikers often spot wild burros on this hike.
Scenic Hikers trail - 3.1 mile, out and back, elevation gain 442 ft
Rigorous Hikers - 5 miles, out and back, elevation gain about 500 ft

**Logistics**
Meet at the CB Golf Club parking lot at 9 AM.
Attendees will decide whether they'd like to have lunch after the hike or return directly, and will form car pools accordingly.
Lake Pleasant is a Maricopa County park. Many members have annual passes but if there aren't enough passes, there is a $7 fee per car.
Maps will be provided.

**3.1 mile hike for the Scenic Group**
Starting at the Cottonwood Day-Use Area and Trailhead hike 0.2 mi. to the start of the Yavapai Point trail. Hike up to the Viewpoint overlooking Lake Pleasant. Backtracking 0.9 mi turn right on the Pipeline Canyon trail and back to the parking lot. All Trails rates this hike **moderately challenging**. Steve Miller and/or Rich Ingram will lead.

**5 mile hike for the Rigorous Group**
Starting at the Cottonwood Day-Use Area and Trailhead hike 0.2 mi. to the start of the Yavapai Point trail. Hike up to the Viewpoint overlooking Lake Pleasant. Backtrack 0.9 mi and. turn left on the Pipeline Canyon trail. Proceed to the lake. Then reverse directions on the Pipeline Canyon trail and go back to the cars. AllTrails rates this hike as **moderately challenging**. Jesse Young will lead.
