Drawing and Painting with Pati Kent

PLEASE Text to 714 307-6607. These fun and exciting classes are taught by professional artist Pati Kent. The classes are for beginning and intermediate students ages 14-adult who wish to improve their drawing and painting skills. Classes are $20 per session.

Classes will include warm ups, basic drawing exercises, right brain exercises and drawing techniques using graphite, charcoal, pastel, ink and watercolor pencils. For painters it will include the same warm ups but will include painting exercises.

Each student will be given assignments in their sketch books. Observation drawings will be from a still life on the model stand. Other drawings and paintings will be from photographs.

The classes are designed to be continuous so each student may work at their own pace to achieve their personal goals.

Students are responsible for their own materials from a suggested list. Suggested drawing materials list:

Charcoal pencils: 4B, 6B

Graphite Pencils: HB, 2B, 4B, 6B

Erasers: Kneaded, White magic

Hand held pencil sharpener

Bristol paper tablet 14x17

Sketch book

Optional: Soft pastels, vine charcoal, liquid black ink pen, watercolor pencils

Red, yellow, blue, black and white tubes - acrylic

Bristol paper tablet 14 X 17 or larger
