SCINTILLATING SCOTLAND: THE WEST HIGHLANDS MAY 2025
Join us in May 2025 for an adventure through the amazing West Highlands of Scotland. Hike through some of the most picturesque and stunning mountain scenery that Scotland has to offer.
We’ll hike over several Munros, to the top of the highest point in the UK, around stunning lochs and places where films such as Braveheart, Harry Potter, Alien and The Highander were filmed. This will be an amazing week in a part of the world considered to be visually stunning

SATURDAY MAY 24th FORT WILLIAM
Flight to Glasgow. Pick up at Airport and transfer to Guest House in Fort William
SUNDAY MAY 25th GLENCOE
A very varied day with several hikes in and around Glencoe
Hike 1: The Hidden Valley (Coire Gabhail) 2.5 hours
Distance: 4.5km
Ascent: 320m
Terrain: Narrow trail along a steep-sided valley.
MONDAY MAY 26th BEN NEVIS 1345m 7-8 hours
Distance:16 km
Ascent: 1332 m
Terrain: Steep, but well made paths on lower half, upper area is rough & very stony.
TUESDAY MAY 27th
Glen Nevis - Steall Meadows, Falls & Ruins 3 hours
Distance: 5.5km
Ascent: 200m
Sightseeing / Historical / Cultural / Whiskey Tasting
Glenfinnen Viaduct, Jacobite Monument, Castle Tioram & Ben Nevis Distillery Tour
WEDNESDAY MAY 28th CREAG MEAGAIDGH 8 to 9 hours
Distance : 18 km
Ascent : 1000 m
THURSDAY MAY 29th The Cairngorms 3 to 4 hours
Distance: 7km
Ascent: 600m ascent
Terrain: Good tracks
Cultural / Historical / Sightseeing
West Highland Museum which has some unique Highland artifacts as well as some wonderful displays and information about the lives and times of people living in the area over the last 300+ years.
FRIDAY MAY 30th ISLE OF SKYE THE QUIRAING 3 to 4 hours
Distance: 7 km
Ascent: 400 m ascent
Terrain: Good tracks initially, but rough, rocky & boggy in places.
SATURDAY MAY 31st
DEPARTURE TO LONDON
COST: £995 (Early bird rate per person ) Twin room.
INCLUDES
• 7 Nights Guest house accommodation in Fort William
• 8 Breakfasts
• 6 days of guided trips
• Trip price will include pick up from and return to Glasgow Airport
• 6 days of guided trips by Scotland based qualified Mountain Leader

• Fuel for the day trips would be extra and charged at cost (which will be shared amongst all attendees)

ATTENDEES
• Minimum number is 8 and the maximum is 14
• All attendees must be regular hikers with a good level of fitness and quality waterproofs, hiking shoes and top and trousers are essential. A full kit list will be provided in due course.
FLEXIBILITY
The day trips will have some flexibility built into them mainly to account for the weather, i.e. we may change the hikes and or their order
OUR GUIDE
Danny is a qualified Summer and Winter Mountain Leader (based in Scotland) as well as a Rock Climbing Instructor and maintains an up-to-date Certificate in Outdoor First Aid.
