Welcome to the CPA Toastmasters Club! Our members are accounting and finance professionals who are dedicated to improving their public speaking and leadership skills. Whether you are a CPA, accountant, auditor, or financial analyst, this is the perfect group for you to practice your communication abilities in a supportive and growth-oriented environment. Join us for regular meetings, speech contests, and networking opportunities that will help you advance in your career and build valuable relationships. Let's toast to your success!
Our meeting times:
Date: 1st and 3rd Thursday (Last meeting in 2024: 5th December 2024)
Time: 6.30pm (Please arrive by 6.20pm for a prompt start)
Address: CPA Australia Building, 20/28 Freshwater Pl, Southbank VIC 3006
Join us in our next Christmas meeting to practice your public speaking skills in a safe and fun environment! #Wearenotboringaccountants
We will be doing social drinks after meeting so feel free to join and meet our club members (Drinks at own expense).
PS. You dont need to be CPA Members to join us!
Our sessions are created with a focus on:
1. Shorter impromptu speaking (60-90 seconds).
2. Longer prepared speeches (usually 5-7 minutes).
3. Peer evaluations.
- And a range of other activities focusing on grammar, timing, running meetings or meeting segments, or anything you choose to focus on as a goal!
