The Zimmerli Art Museum is one of the largest and most distinguished university-based museums in the country, and is located on the New Brunswick campus of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. The museum is headquartered in a 70,000-square-foot facility and houses more than 70,000 works of art, with strengths in the Art of the Americas, European Art, Russian Art & Soviet Nonconformist Art, and Original Illustrations for Children's Literature. The permanent collections include works in all mediums, spanning from antiquity to the present day.

Admission is free. Metered parking is available in front of the museum and other adjacent streets; additional paid parking is available in the [Gateway Center Parking Garage](http://www.parkme.com/lot/116330/gateway-garage-new-brunswick-nj). A designated accessible street parking space is available in front of the museum. There are several additional paid parking decks in New Brunswick not far from the museum.
