Monthly Meeting: Bridging Divides: A Community Conversation on Understanding
Details
As divisions deepen and social divides grow wider, one question arises: can we truly bridge the gap with those we perceive as different or even adversarial? On November 18, Yale Divinity School students Sunny McMillan and Chris Freimuth will join us for an eye-opening evening on how we can all take steps toward understanding and healing.
Most dialogue across difference happens in commonplace, everyday experiences. Through their Clinical Pastoral Education programs and their interactions at divinity school, Sunny and Chris have recently had the opportunity to engage in productive, respectful conversations with people from differing perspectives. They will share a few real-life examples of these encounters and practical tools that made it possible to find common ground in even the most challenging interactions.
This event is open to the public, welcoming anyone interested in fostering unity, empathy, and dialogue across divides. Don’t miss this opportunity to see how you, too, can make a positive impact by connecting with others in a meaningful way.
Join us for coffee and conversation at 6:30 PM followed by this timely presentation at 7:00 PM.
Every 3rd Monday of the month until December 15, 2024
