About the Facilitator:
Juma the Light serves to enhance the world as an independent scholar, griot, educator, healer, visual artist, life adviser, cultural consultant, and plant-based chef, celebrated for his specializations in African wisdom, holistic health & wellness, personal development, spiritual enlightenment, and “word medicine”.
He was traditionally trained in both African and Eurasian systems of thought, with international experiences including seven trips to the African continent, notably two pilgrimages to Egypt, Northeast Africa, directly studying under such luminaries as Runoko Rashidi, Abdulalim A. Shabazz, and Baba Hamdy of Elephantine Island in Aswan, as well as graduating cum laude with a concentration in social science and community development.
Additionally, Juma has ritually passed through the Doors of Return at both the Cape Coast and Elmina dungeons in Ghana, West Africa. He is genuinely devoted to the betterment of the Human Family through a synthesis of practical indigenous ideas, ways and means, and has successfully guided hundreds towards transformative growth and optimal healing.
As an accomplished orator and educator, Juma has been hired on numerous occasions for exclusive keynote speaking engagements, poetic performances, community forums, workshops, classes, and community panel discussions. He is available for one-on-one and group consultations, healing circle facilitation, African-centered ecotherapy, and personal readings utilizing various tools of ritual technology. World Traveler.
