ABOUT HEATHER
Heather Dahl is CEO and co-founder of Indicio and has built the company into a global market leader in verifiable identity and data using decentralized identity technology.
These include the first successful Digital Travel Credential (DTC) based on International Civil Aviation Organization standards, which is currently in trial deployment with multiple airlines. Indicio’s implementation of the DTC paves the way for replacing paper passports and creates verifiable biometrics that mitigate attempts at fraud through generative AI.
For work leading to the DTC, Indicio won a KuppingerCole European Identity and Cloud Award, and a SuperNova Award from Constellation Research. Constellation’s Steve Wilson described Indicio’s work on verifiable data as “leading edge.”
Prior to Indicio, Heather led the Sovrin Foundation through its most significant period of growth, and she led research teams at KPMG and at telecommunications firm Neustar.
She has served as the chair of the National Press Foundation board of directors and as chair of the Congressional Correspondents Association. She is a member of the Governing Board of the Hyperledger Foundation.
