Saturday Spin is a moderate paced/distance road ride is a safe, fun workout and can be lengthened or shortened to fit our varying needs. We will have a Ride Captain on most of our rides but everyone should know, generally, where we're riding. If there is no official Ride Captain, the group is expected to self organize.
We ride \~12 to 16 mph but may split into smaller groups of different speeds. Since this is a group ride, we all watch out for each other so we can ride with at least one other Peep. If you see someone riding caboose, drop back and ride with her. It's no fun to ride alone on a group ride!
• **Ride Description: We'll start downtown, hit up part of the North Valley, venture out West a bit, and make our way back.**
**• Start Time:** Please arrive early so you are ready to roll at the scheduled start time.
**• Ride Length: 26.9 miles / 699' elevation gain**
**• Speed Range**: \~12-16mph(+/-) If you want to ride faster than the captain, you are welcome to go ahead and self-navigate..
**• Liability:** Cycling Peeps is a free, volunteer group in which every member is responsible for their own safety. Never do anything you are not comfortable doing while riding with the Peeps. We can not assume any responsibility for anyone's actions except our own.
• **Safety:** Safety is our #1 priority. Let's all help each other learn safe bike handling and group riding skills. If you have a question, ask another Peep.
• **Cue Sheets & GPX**: Please study the route map before the ride and bring a cue sheet OR download the GPX file for your phone and impress your friends.
