Hi all;
This ride is our monthly social ride, where we welcome new members. This is a no-drop ride and we encourage all type of riders to start with this monthly ride before trying our other faster paced rides.
This is usually a larger group ride and we will break into 2 to 3 different pace groups, depending on the number of cyclist that show up. We have "Cardio" group pace that is usually 15 to 18 mph and a moderate pace (13 to 15 mph) group. Our 3rd group will leave last and will maintain a one-lap "Social" pace and is the "no-drop" group at a 10-12 mph pace.
If you are new to cycling or riding in groups and want to know what your pace is, then please click here (https://4142298.xyz/Dallas-Cycling-Trail-Riders-and-Weekend-Pub-Crawlers/pages/What_is_your_Pace%3F/) to get an idea which pace group would be best for you:

This ride is definitely more of a get to know you ride. Goal would be 2 laps depending on the group and then brunch/lunch at the Lakehouse Bar and Grill. However, we do have some members do 1 lap and hold the tables for us on the back patio of the restaurant.
We will meet at 10am on the 2nd Saturday of each month (except for June, July, and August at 9am to beat the heat). We leave the parking lot on the ride promptly at the starting time. Please arrive promptly and have your tires aired up and be dressed for the weather.
We will be doing 2 laps (11 miles each) and it should take approximately 1 hour 30 minutes at a leisurely pace, with a stop or two. The"social" paced group will complete one lap.
If you RSVP and find later that you can't make it, please cancel your RSVP so we don't look for you. Like all the rallies out there, we want to stress this is not a race group, but more of a social group.
Look forward to meeting you there.
Lisa Witherington
PS. The Lakehouse bar is located right across the street from the DART Rail station on Northwest Hwy - So anyone wanting to take their bike to the DART Rail to the new meetup location, just follow this link by clicking the picture below.
