DWRT Thursday Evening Workouts @ East River Track: Short Interval Workout

Details:

  • Bag check is available for this workout. Bags are usually stacked together at the meetup by sand pit. Ask for the Whippets if you're not sure you have the right group!
  • Workout will be posted prior to the event and announced just before execution.
  • Warmup and drills start at 7 pm. Workout starts around 7:15.
  • Expected Distance 5–10 miles including warmup and cooldown (highly modifiable)
  • Available Pace Groups Paces depend on the weekly workout plan. Typical groups are 4:15 – 7:00 mile pace, 5:00–8:30 5k pace. All are welcome, and the track allows us to keep everyone together regardless of paces.

We typically head to ABC Beer Co. (https://www.abcbeer.co/) at Ave. C and 6th St. immediately after the workout (arriving between 8:15 and 8:30 depending on workout length). We always welcome anyone who wants to just come join us for a beer! The bar has one of the best beer selections in the city, usually has a pop-up ramen vendor on Thursdays (with vegan options), and also allows outside food.
