Urban Hike: "The Neighborhoods"

Details

Let's get together and explore the unique areas and neighborhoods the Dayton area has to offer!

THIS EVENT IS WEATHER DEPENDENT! IF IT'S SNOWING OR TOO COLD I'LL CANCEL!!

For this Urban Hike we are visiting 2 locations.

Location 1 is Mount St John's, also known as The Bergamo Center, also known as The Marianist.

It is an amazing property located in Beavercreek. It's a150 acre Catholic campus working closely with many organizations such as 5 Rivers Metro Parks, Centerville and Beavercreek Park districts and many more. They care about the environment and lots of the gravel and sand to build I675 was pulled from this property. There is now a prairie there that has been rebuilt and maintained by them. See link below to read about it. There's a lot to learn.

There is a trail, a Grotto and a Labyrinth we will walk through. Total distance is about 2 ish miles. Speed will be about 2.5 or 2.8. There are some inclines and declines, on dirt, gravel and pavement.
I suggest at least 1 hiking pole.

After we come off the trails, we'll get in our cars and go 1 mile down the road to OnPar Entertainment.

The owner of On Par reached out to the Dayton Hikers(aka Andy lol) to see if we would want to have an event there.

Why yes we would! On Par is giving each one of us a token to play a round of PUTT PUTT golf. They also have food, bowling, darts, pool, foosball and the most beautiful Karaoke rooms.

Have you been? IT'S WILD!

When you enter the Mount St John's, also known as The Bergamo Center campus, follow the signs to parking lot "C". We will park there and go on the trails.

I drive a Green Chevrolet Equinox with black wheels.

Here's my number.

I'm not setting a limit on this hike/event. OnPar can handle a LOT OF PEOPLE! You really have to see it, it's HUGE!

I'm starting this hike at 330 as I don't want to be in the trails at dark.

If you aren't off work in time for the hike, just come to On Par at 5 or later. You can choose going but tell me in the comments whether you are coming to the hike or just OnPar.

See you soon.... Yoli
