What we’re about
If you are unsatisfied with your life in any way - physically, intellectually, emotionally, or spiritually you may find yoga therapy effective to help you realign your life to feel more positive about yourself and your life. Yoga therapy has proven to be an effective adjunct therapy for biomedical and psychosocial issues because it takes a look at the person as a whole, not just on the symptoms. More importantly, yoga therapy empowers the clients to direct their treatment plan.
Holistic Yoga Therapy (HYT) compassionately guides clients to explore their life from a holistic perspective and apply the knowledge gained to improve their health and quality of life. Emphasis is placed on balancing the physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual pieces (PIES). The ancient practices and teachings of yoga are applied to support each client’s goals, needs and learning styles.
If you are unsatisfied with your life in any way - physically, intellectually, emotionally, or spiritually you may find yoga therapy effective to help you realign your life to feel more positive about yourself and your life. We work with three main types of populations - special needs, special populations, and lifestyle coaching.
Special Needs
Anyone with physical, sensory, cognitive, intellectual or mental impairments can benefit from holistic yoga therapy. Clients experience increased self-regulation and self-soothing skills by learning breath work and relaxation techniques. The physical practice of yoga postures, or asanas, increases motor skills and body awareness which promotes greater communication and social skills.
