We will learn methods for creating defined characters quickly. In particular we will focus on how to integrate perks of our character naturally - just as if they had this perk their entire life.

Character Challenges: In only one second improvisors go on stage and find theor character for the scene. sometimes for few seconds, sometimes for one hour. This months we address some character traits, which are not always easy to implement naturally.

Looking for our regular newcomer-friendly events? Those take place every Wednesday and Saturday!

**What is it about?**

Friday improv intensives are for those of you looking to expand your improv theater skills. Each month focuses on a specific topic, and each Friday session within that month offers a piece of that puzzle. The sessions are connected and we recommend that you attend all Fridays of a given month to make the most out of them.

**What does it look like?**

In contrast to our other events, Friday intensives tend to focus on longer, more advanced scenework. All Fridays within a given month may be moderated by a single person or by a cast of several moderators.

Every session features different activities. The moderator will support you, and ensure an open, supportive and welcoming atmosphere. Each moderator brings his or her own style to each session.

**Important things to know**

You must be on the Going list to attend. RSVPs for each event open two weeks before.

If you are Going (or Waitlisted), you can change your mind until midnight the previous day. Setting yourself to Not Going on the day of the event (or not showing up) is considered a no-show. After 3 no-shows we do a 1-month suspension from future events.

If you have never been to a Rice Cookie session before, you may skip the waitlist. You must still be registered and on the waitlist. However we recommend a Wednesday or a Saturday event if it's your first time.

When entering the room, please fill-in the attendance sheet. We keep this data for up to 2 weeks.

Please bring non-slip socks or a second pair of shoes. We are not allowed to use our street shoes on the dance studio floor, and the floor can be slippery. We highly recommend comfortable clothes which allow for movement and possibly sitting on the floor.

We ask that you do not take photos or videos during the session. The moderator may take photos that could be used on Meetup or shared in our Whatsapp group; if you prefer not to appear or any photos, you must let the moderator know by the end of the session.

In cases of unacceptable behavior the moderator has the right to ask a participant to leave.

The event is in English.

**Price and payment**

It’s only 5€! You can pay via bank transfer or PayPal in advance, or cash at the start of the event. If you are in a difficult financial situation but want to participate, please contact us in advance.
