**Day after Thanksgiving Hike...**
**Come join in on a hike in the Ocala National Forest and work off some Thanksgiving overindulgence...**
This trail is considered an easy route. An out and back hike traveling the Florida Trail from SR19 trail head east towards **Alexander Springs**.
This route has both shady areas and some sun through a Pine and Oak hammock forest with many opportunities to see the local wildlife in the area. Hoping for a 5-6 mile hike if the trail condition will allow. We will decide how far we hike as a group.

The parking lot is located on SR19 near Altoona, Florida, just north of Pittman, FL. Parking lot is on the small side so car pool if you can.

No facilities at this trailhead.

**Keep your eyes on the signage on SR 19 or you might miss the turn-off to the parking lot.**

Sturdy shoes/Hiking boots, water and bug spray recommended.
