**9 AM start time**
**Look for the National Forest Recreation Area sign (featured photo above) off of SR 19 to unpaved hard pack road.**

**Word of caution, you will have to drive down a 4 mile hard pack forest road....This forest road is alittle rough in spots so drive slowly and watch for ruts.🤐**

It's hunting season so wear orange shirt, outerwear or hat or other bright clothing if you have any. I usually carry an extra orange vest if someone would like to borrow,

Weather looks good for a nice and cool start..
Come join in on a hike in the Ocala National Forest.
From the trailhead near Farles Prairie Recreation Area, we'll head north towards Juniper Springs via the Florida Trail in the Ocala National Forest. Expect 5-6 mile hike dependent on what the group wants to do.

As an added surprise, the Pinecastle Bombing Range is located nearby and Navy fighters (think F-18’s and F-35’s) can often be seen and heard flying over the area.

Parking lot is small, so car pool if you can.
Suggest sturdy shoes/hiking boots, water and bug spray.
