Morning Hike at Core Creek Park (Difficult)
Details
Pictured in the feature photo is the Entrance to Core Creek Park. Use this entrance and follow directions to Duchess Lane. Or use Pin. This Hike will Start an End at Duchess lane parking area. There is plenty of parking and rest rooms here. The hike will be about 5 miles on winding trails, through woods with slight hills, along the banks of lake Luxembourg and down some paths next to open fields. This is a rugged trail with tree roots, some rocky trails and wet spots along the way. As always, I recommend water to drink. You can dehydrate even in the winter. Hiking boots are a must. And I also use a hiking stick, which I find very useful. Pictures don't do it justice. It's natural beauty and diversity needs to be seen, to appreciate it. So come out and have a look. You'll be glad you did. Also, I've yet to hike Core Creek without seeing wildlife, usually Deer but often woodpeckers and other birds. As usual, I've posted some pictures to give you a feel for the trail. Hope you can make it. Paul contact# 609-540-2513
