Maki-e workshop in Delft

Japanese lacquer, or urushi, is a natural sap that is harvested from the urushi tree. It has been used for centuries in Japan for its decorative and protective qualities of woodenwares.We draw traditional Japanese patterns(wagara) or your original design with Japanese lacquer in the workshop. We provide a glass cup, a glass picture frame or a black lacquerware as your canvas.

  • €52 pp (for a glass picture frame)
  • €66 pp (for a lacquerwares)

Required time: 2.5-3 hours

Minimum numbers: 2 people (Only Delft location)
