Rabindranath Tagore gave Taj Mahal the epithet "a teardrop on the cheek of time"! A sublime poetic testament to the longing desire and everlasting love of a powerful emperor.

And this sublime paean to love etched in white marble is most surreal in a full moon night!!!

Around this Full Moon Night 'Chand Raat' of November, allow the intrepid explorers of Team DBF/TBT to take you on a quick, magical getaway for the ultimate Taj Mahal experience under a full moon....and since Agra, is incredibly intriguing once you move beyond the Taj, this imperial capital city of three successive Mughal 'Badshahs' boasts many a regal landmark of yore, small & big in its myriad alleys, and across the Yamuna; a profusion of artistic and architectural wonders, some 'zaaikedaar khaana', and many a Mughal tales await you at the most unlikeliest of corners of this old town.

We continue our search of less known stories and some hidden gems in Vrindavan, a place you least expect to be labelled a Mughal township, as we visit a few historical temples made by Badshah Akbar and patronised by Raja Man Singh and shrines to Lord Krishna set up by Mughal noblemen!
