What we’re about
Our queer hiking group, the Denver Queer Hikers Meetup, is a welcoming community initiative that aims to create inclusive outdoor spaces for individuals who identify as LGBTQ+ spectrum. We strive to foster a supportive environment where members can connect over their love for nature, adventure, and the outdoors. Additionally, we aim to address marginalized communities' unique challenges in recreational spaces. Our group focuses on hiking and emphasizes the importance of representation and visibility in outdoor activities. By bringing diverse voices and experiences together, we seek to challenge stereotypes and promote a sense of belonging in nature.
