What we’re about
Welcome to the Denver Veg Feminists Meetup.com group!
We are a trans-affirming, anti-oppression community of feminists who care about animals and gender equality. We are open to vegans, vegetarians, and anyone who is interested in learning more about plant-based lifestyles. While we do not require that you be vegan outside of our space, we do request that you be vegan within the space. This means no meat or other animal products will be consumed within our space.
If you're interested in feminism and animal rights, this is the space for you!
Note that men who are interested in feminism, especially men of marginalized groups, are encouraged to join, but we prioritize the voices of non-men.

For this learning session, we’ll be reading Abolitionary Advocacy: Expanding Empathy Toward Total Liberation.
Learning sessions function similasimilarly to a book club where we’ll read an article or watch a video and discuss it afterwards. For this session, we’re focusing on the subject of prison abolition and how it relates to veganism.
Session will be followed by an optional social.
