My mate Ryan, sent me some decent prices for flights to the Algarve for a bit of winter sun, so I took Mr Air up on his offer and I've booked to go to Albufeira (old town) in February....it will be bright and sunny and around 20 degrees.
Plenty of walks, beaches, day trips, tuc tuc rides or just sit chilling in one of the many cafes or moseying around the shops. The nightlife is a little quieter than the new Albufeira but still lively enough and there is a little tourist train to take you to and from the New Albufeira and 'The Strip' if you so desire and have the energy.
