Des Plaines Meditation Group - In Person
Details
Mondays, 6:45 pm - 8:45 pm
The Shambhala Meditation Center of Chicago continues to offer the Monday Night Sitting Group in Des Plaines at the Des Plaines Public Library. We offer sitting and walking meditation from 6:45 to 7:45 p.m., followed by reading and discussion from 8:00 – 8:45 p.m., with some social time in between. Usually, you can find us in the Public Meeting Room A or C on the ground floor of the library, to the left of the entrance. As a result of this change, we will no longer be able to provide mediation cushions. Only chairs will be available. If you would like to use a cushion, please bring one with you.

All are welcome. Meditation instruction will be provided for those who are new to sitting meditation. We are currently reading "When Bad Lands" by Alan Anderson.
Donations from participants are warmly appreciated! They help us cover the cost of rent and Meetup fees. Please, make your donation here, and include "Des Plaines" in the comments section. Another option is to donate through Meetup.
"Shambhala is about the path of warriorship, or the path of bravery, that is open to any human being who seeks a genuine and fearless existence."
We are looking forward to seeing you soon!
