DevOps for Defense Meetup
Details
The meetup format will evolve over time as the interested community evolves. Speakers and presentations will be focused and limited to no more than 30 minutes. We will solicit subjects of interest from the community for structured discussion using the Lean Coffee format. We will review books and other publications of interest which may be led by individuals or group activities. If we are brave enough, we may even hold a few Lightning Talks. Initial subjects will focus on introducing DevOps principles and practices using material from openly available sources (internet, books, etc.). We will start small and expand as needed based on community interest and feedback.
If you aren't already familiar with DevOps, I encourage you to review the vast amount of material available on YouTube. Other great resources include: The Phoenix Project (https://www.amazon.com/Phoenix-Project-DevOps-Helping-Business/dp/0988262509/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1511236572&sr=1-1&keywords=the+phoenix+project&dpID=51E8AO50Y7L&preST=SY291_BO1,204,203,200_QL40&dpSrc=srch), The DevOps Handbook (https://www.amazon.com/DevOps-Handbook-World-Class-Reliability-Organizations/dp/1942788002/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1511236614&sr=1-1&keywords=The+DevOps+Handbook), and Continuous Delivery (https://www.amazon.com/Continuous-Delivery-Deployment-Automation-Addison-Wesley/dp/0321601912/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1511236643&sr=1-1&keywords=Continuous+Delivery).
We now meet at the new Rocket Republic venue in downtown Huntsville.
