The Wandle Trail (23km)

Join Dew Adventures for an exciting hiking adventure along the Wandle Trail. The trail is ~23km and follows the route of the River Wandle from Croydon to the Thames at Wandsworth.

We will get the opportunity to enjoy the heritage, flora and fauna of this typical chalk stream in the heart of South London. In our industrial heyday, this was the ‘hardest working river in London’, with over 90 mills along its banks.

This route is mostly on paved paths and easily accessible. We will walk through the boroughs of Croydon, Sutton, Merton and Wandsworth. This trail is for nature lovers, history enthusiasts, and anyone seeking a peaceful urban adventure in South London. We will passs through hidden gems including Beddington and Morden Hall Parks until we reach the confluence of the Wandle and Thames rivers!

Information:
Start: East Croydon Station 9.30am
Finish: Wandsworth Town Station ~5pm.
To Bring: Please bring sturdy walking shoes, water and clothing suitable for the weather. There is a £5 fee (cash) for attending the event to be paid at the start of the hike.

There will be plenty of stops along the way to get yourself some lunch, refreshments or use the bathroom - such are the perks of an urban hike!
