This is a support group.

DISSOCIATIVE IDENTITY DISORDER
SUPPORT GROUP GUIDELINES
This peer support group is open to anyone with DID OR OSDD.
Dissociative Identity Disorder is characterized by the presence of two or
more distinct personality states.
This group is not a therapy group or crisis intervention. Please use your
resources to reach out for help if necessary. If you are in crisis, please call
988 or 911 for assistance.
Guidelines are required and enforced by moderators. If you are warned by
the moderator and the guideline is broken again, you will be removed from
the meeting. Leaders will follow up with you once the meeting ends to
review guidelines and ensure we’re good for future meetings.
1. Be on time to group for the respect of other members. If you are late, a
moderator will direct message you and ask that you wait to share.
2. Moderators will lead a safe place at the beginning and end of group
time. The last 10 minutes will be acknowledging system containment.
3. Confidentiality is essential. We ask all members to respect and protect
the group’s privacy. If issues arise, please message the moderator or
group leader directly on Zoom or WhatsApp. Avoid carrying disputes,
frustrations, or conflicts from meetings into the public space of the
WhatsApp group chats.
4. Be prepared to engage fully with the group.
5. Remain honest, open, and willing to participate in the process.
6. Practice actively listening to others and setting aside judgments.
7. No advice giving.
8. Use I/We statements, speak about your own experiences, avoid details
of trauma, and notice your intent.
9. 10. 11. 12. 13. 14. 15. 16. 17. 18. 19. We will be discussing two to three topics during each meeting.
We will be using a timer to do 3-minute shares. You can share as
many times as you would like. Please raise your hand to get in the
queue to share next.
Keep your microphone muted unless it is your time to speak.
Using the chat is crosstalk; please raise your hand to be recognized.
Direct messaging between members is not allowed to keep the space
safe and focused. Use the chat to contact the moderator if needed.
Members are expected to keep their cameras on during meetings. If
you need to step away, please use the “Be Right Back” button.
Conflicts can happen, and that’s okay. They can even lead to growth
when handled directly and honestly.
Please refrain from disclosing details of traumatic events or harmful
behaviors.
Triggers happen. You might hear or see something that sets you off.
Use this as a chance to practice managing or tolerating the trigger.
Remember, others aren’t responsible for your triggers; it’s up to you to
handle your reaction and let others know what you need.

especially if asked for directly in the chat,
