Details

Join us for our November Book Club Discussion! 📚

In November, we are reading I Who Have Never Known Men by Jacqueline Harpman.

During our meeting, we'll discuss the book's themes, characters, and general plot.

• Pages: 208
• Release year: 1995
• Country: Belgium

Synopsis:

Deep underground, thirty-nine women live imprisoned in a cage. Watched over by guards, the women have no memory of how they got there, no notion of time, and only a vague recollection of their lives before.

As the burn of electric light merges day into night and numberless years pass, a young girl—the fortieth prisoner—sits alone and outcast in the corner. Soon she will show herself to be the key to the others' escape and survival in the strange world that awaits them above ground.

Some ground rules:
- This is a women-only event.
- Every attendee has to read the book before the meeting.
- This is a safe place. Please be kind and respectful.
-There is a $2 per meeting fee payable by cash. This is to help cover the costs of the Meetup organizer subscription. If this is your first meeting, it’s free!
