The Iron Pour

Hello ALL,

The 8th Annual Iron Pour is coming up and I wanted to create an event so we can all plan to stop by at some point during our busy lives. I loved this event when I first moved here and it's definitely work checking out at least once. I will be arriving around 6-7pm ~ish.

This won't be a formal event that will be hosted so use this forum to plot a small group or honestly if you wanna meetup with me while I am there just DM me or find me around cause I might just show up by myself and enjoy as I did last time.

Every November since 2016, Liberty Arts has hosted a FREE public arts event in Durham Central Park. Over 3,000 attendees gather to watch teams of artists build furnaces which heat pieces of iron to unfathomable temperatures. All evening and into the night, thousands of pounds of molten iron will be poured into molds in an exciting fiery display, creating iron tiles designed by the public and sculptures made by NC artists. The event will feature performances, local food trucks, craft beer, art vendors, and opportunities to learn from and engage with this spectacular art form.
