We have 1000's of distributed services that together enable our subscribers to stream our content. Olivier will talk about our ongoing journey to improve service interaction and API development here at Disney, simplifying the organisational complexity that comes with a large distributed system. He'll talk about how we got to where we are: passing through OpenApi, and now leveraging the AWS Smithy IDL with our open source Smithy4s library to generate performant code for our services.Olivier is a Principal Engineer at Disney, he's been working with Scala for over decade now. He's an open-source contributor and maintainer, and puts an incredible amount of work into saving himself (and others) the hassle of repetitive tasks.
