What we’re about
Welcome to Distant Relatives! We are a Black Intra-racial couple (African American and Yoruba).
We realize there is a lot to know about our cultural background that we have yet to explore and we want to connect with other Black Intra-racial families who want to do the same and build community and solidarity through our distinct background.
So join us to co-create a more liberated intra-racial community of Black families. We will explore each other's shared history through activities such as cooking/food, arts and crafts, play, film screenings, and other activities the group wants to explore.
Our name (Distant Relatives) is inspired by the spectacular album, 'Distant Relatives' by Nas and Damian Marley.
