What we’re about
Welcome! We have been waiting for you. Toastmasters is a proven method for growing your own communication and leadership skills. You can learn more about Toastmasters here: https://www.toastmasters.org/membership/why-toastmasters.
District 30 is part of Region 5. We are on Central Standard Time or UTC-6 hours. There are 100+ clubs that include beginners to professionals. Each club ("event" using Meetup lingo) has its own personality. Our district includes clubs that specialize in different things to include advanced speaking, improv, stagecraft, duo-language-to name a few. Learn more about District 30 at d30toastmasters.org.
• Guests welcome! Typically, we have live meeting and training events of large and small groups. Currently, look out for online meetups offered most everyday of the week. The events listed here are District 30 clubs open to all 18+years (unless otherwise stated). You do not have to be a Toastmaster to attend the events.
•This is an interactive experience. For online meetings, we encourage you to turn your camera on and engage with others. At a minimum, you likely will be invited to introduce yourself and share your thoughts about the meeting. (Please note that the number of attendees listed on the meetup does not match the number of attendees at an event. Many regular attendees may not come back to meetup to mark they attend but are always encouraged to do so!)
•Meetings/events are typically 1-2 hours long. You will have a better experience if you plan to join the meeting several minutes before it starts. Some events have an online password. After you mark that you are attending, check back to your Meetup inbox for communication of the event password if needed. Meetings will follow an agenda and start and end on time.
• D30 Toastmasters use this form (https://forms.gle/79jEZiVyTA2259Bq7) to sign up as an EVENT ORGANIZER and to get started adding your club event to this meetup group. You will need the meetup name of 3 club members that have already joined the meetup.

You are invited to join a passionate Vice President Education in his virtual space Fridays at noon Central for a weekly informal, chill, but (hopefully) helpful Toastmasters Q&A session.
Got burning questions about Toastmasters, public speaking, speechwriting, leadership, or even tech issues? Bring 'em on. He will tackle them during your time together. If he can't crack it on the spot, maybe one of your fellow attendees -- who are often also DTMs -- can help. And if they can't, no worries—they will hunt down the answer and send it your way! This is a casual come-as-you-are event – stay for a quick question or linger for a longer conversation.
🕛 About Toastmasters Happy Hour
The Vice President Education for Northwest Suburban Toastmasters started this informal weekly get-together in July 2020 during COVID as a way to assist members. Since then, folks from around the world -- and even a past International President! -- have joined to get their Toastmasters questions answered. Members and guests are always welcome.🌐 About Toastmasters
