Get Paid What You Deserve: Freelancers’ Pricing and Negotiation Workshop
Details
For freelancers, business owners, and enthusiasts
#### About the workshop
Determining the price of your work and services can be challenging – you don’t want to over or underprice yourself. But then asking for that price might feel even scarier and as freelancers, we often sit alone with these troubles. In this workshop, we will teach you ways to determine a fair and competitive market value pricing and break down what constitutes a successful negotiation – so you can enhance and refine your negotiation skills and ask for what your work is worth with clarity and confidence.
#### What to expect
We will start by exploring your underlying beliefs and mindset around pricing and negotiation, followed by some exercises for every day to let go of beliefs that hold you back. You will be introduced to the powerful win-win based negotiation style – the Harvard Negotiation Model, which focuses on building relations amongst the negotiation parties to set the groundwork for the exchange of equal value. We will get into specific ways to have client conversations and wording for your negotiation. Through live role-plays, you will witness and also practice this new approach in a supportive environment. In an intimate setting of 6 - 8 people you will have the opportunity to work in a small circle, ask all your questions and receive personalized feedback. You will leave the workshop with tangible exercises and practical conversation examples to put to your use the very next day. This afternoon is designed so that you keep developing and refining your skills even after the workshop ends.
#### About the facilitator
Susi Ehrhardt has been part-time freelancing for 7 years as an intercultural trainer, workshop facilitator, career coach, and diversity specialist. After completing an intense 3 months negotiation program, she has been using and refining her skills in the last 4 years to successfully ask for competitive pricing, frequently increasing the initial offer clients had made her. After one-on-one coaching other freelancers, she now wants more people to benefit from this knowledge and enjoy the fundamental shift from scared to excited about negotiation. She believes that freelancers as well as clients benefit from having thorough conversations about the exchange of value about to happen. In 2022 she founded Enlarging the Pie – Center for Internationality, Diversity & Belonging where she and other experts help organizations, teams, and individuals through coaching and consulting to thrive on diversity.
