Dreaming Democracy Writing Workshop: Managing Conflict
Details
After The Storm, Washington Socialist, and Bol Coop and the Center for Partisanship are partnering for a hands-on writing workshop on Tuesday, December 10, from 6:30-8:30pm at Creative Grounds DC. This is the last of a three-part series of workshops. You are welcome to attend just one or all of them.
Managing Conflict
In our first two workshops, we collectively envisioned the new world we want to create and discussed the institutional change we need to get us there. Finally, we ask ourselves about how we would deal with conflict within this world. Come to our writing workshop and join others in managing conflict through solo & collaborative writing exercises and group discussion.
PSsst. Want to come but don't consider yourself a writer? PLEASE come. This space is for you :)
Format
This workshop is capped at 30 people to ensure everyone has space in the venue to write comfortably. There will be a facilitator, some individual writing time, and time to share in pairs or small groups. Please feel free to bring your preferred writing utensils, and any water or snacks you may need!
If you sign up but can no longer attend, please cancel so your spot can go to someone else. Once this event reaches capacity, a waitlist will open automatically.
Event Policy
After The Storm events are all-inclusive spaces for folks to meet new people, socialize, and support each other with care and curiosity. This particular event is open to the public. If any member is made to feel uncomfortable by someone else in attendance, please approach After The Storm. We do not tolerate any kind of harassment or abuse, and will ask anyone who violates this policy to leave.
