Meet at Granville Road where you can park for free or if by foot at the Weymouth side of the Rodwell trail, Newstead Rd accessed by the swannery bridge, then subway. We will walk to Sandsfoot castle via the old railway line, then back to Weymouth town via Nothe fort dropping down to the harbour. This walk is approx: 4-5 miles. If the weather is bad, I will reschedule.

DOG OWNERS:
At the discretion of the walk leaders, responsible dog owners and their dogs are welcome on our walks as long as they comply with the following rules. We must insist that any dogs on our walks have third party liability insurance – this is not always part of standard insurance cover so please check. It’s always good practice (and a legal requirement on ‘open access’ land) to keep your dog on a lead around farm animals and horses, for your own safety and for the welfare of the animals. If you’re asked by a walk leader to put your dog on a lead, please do so as there will be a good reason for this.

GENERAL
Walking can be very arduous, some walks more than others. A good level of fitness is often required to maintain a reasonable pace over an extended period and over mixed terrain. Participation is your own choice, at your own risk and you are responsible for your own safety. Walking in the countryside will often involve negotiating mud, tree roots, uneven surfaces animal burrows, roads, mixed terrain and weather conditions.
Ensure that you are clothed and equipped correctly for changing weather conditions. Anybody that becomes separated from the main group will need to make their own arrangements for getting back to the start. Walk leaders are volunteers and not professional guides. Please ensure that you are fit and healthy enough to do the walk and make sure you carry with you any medication that you may need on the walk as well as a simple first aid kit. No responsibility will be accepted in the event of an accident/injury or illness to a participant however caused. Members only on walks and no guests. Please follow the countryside code.
