IMPORTANT: No Dogs on this event.

By signing up to the walk you are confirming that you agree with all the points in the description and have taken any required actions prior to attendance. Ensure you arrive at least 10 minutes before the posted start time to allow time for the pre-walk briefing.

THE ROUTE
We are going to head out towards Witchampton and then take tracks towards Hogstock with a turn round the airfield and then back to Badbury Rings. Approx 600ft elevation. Please bring enough food and drink for the duration of the walk. The walk will generally be at a brisk pace but not quite as brisk as previous. Please ensure you are fit and healthy to do this distance. The finish time is approximate.

Membership cards available - it's £5 which will last you to Dec 2025 :-) (you can then book on any DWSG walk for free - attendee numbers permitting)..

GENERAL
Walking can be very arduous, some walks more than others. A good level of fitness is often required to maintain a reasonable pace over an extended period and over mixed terrain. Participation is your own choice, at your own risk and you are responsible for your own safety. Walking in the countryside will often involve negotiating mud, tree roots, uneven surfaces animal burrows, roads, mixed terrain and weather conditions.

Ensure that you are clothed and equipped correctly for changing weather conditions. Anybody that becomes separated from the main group will need to make their own arrangements for getting back to the start. Walk leaders are volunteers and not professional guides. Please ensure that you are fit and healthy enough to do the walk and make sure you carry with you any medication that you may need on the walk as well as a simple first aid kit. No responsibility will be accepted in the event of an accident/injury or illness to a participant however caused. Members only on walks and no guests. Please follow the countryside code.

PHOTOGRAPHS. Be aware that when taking photographs, a responsible attitude should be taken with regard to the wishes of some people who, for their own personal reasons, do not want to have their photographs taken and or, published on any social media.
