Upcoming events (3)
See all- BRX: St. Jude Race (Walker) TrainingBig River Crossing (better address), Memphis, TN
Our plan is to do this almost every Wednesday evening until race day. So, if you'd like a group to train with, this is for you. During hot weather (80°+) we will meet inside Crosstown Concourse near the main stairway. During cooler weather we will meet at Big River Crossing.
This is primarily for the 5K, 10K, and half marathon in December, but this would be good training if you are doing the walk/run in September, too.
This will be my 45th half marathon to walk (since 2015) and I assure you, you can complete this walking. Especially if you have a group of friends walking with you.
If you'd like to walk with a group at the race, you are welcome to join our race team: Outdoor Adventure Meetup: Join our group for the race!
We will start our training with one over and back crossing, and add more distance on each time.
This is a safe area to walk, well-lit, and well-traveled.
