Introduction to MEDITATION
Every Monday, 7pm - 8:30pm In-person only
The class will focus on cultivating calm abiding (Skt. Shamatha) meditation. It will follow the traditional Tibetan stages of calm abiding techniques while also incorporating elements of mindfulness practices found in the "Four Foundations of Mindfulness Sutta," from the Pali Canon. Both beginners and advanced practitioners are welcome to attend.
Each class will begin with some basic instruction, a guided meditation session followed by a brief group discussion or a question and answer session.
