Speaker 1 - Kristiaan Van den Eynde: How do you prepare for a (DrupalCon) presentation?
You've been going to Dev Days, DrupalCon and/or other events for a few years now and now you feel like you have something to share with the community. Cool. But how do you get started? How do you structure your session so that it's educational and interesting, but still concise? How do you make sure you're not too nervous? We'll look at all aspects of a good presentation together and leave room for a question-and-answer session where I'll try to answer your questions as best as I can from my personal experiences.
Speaker 2 - Pierre Dureau: How to implement a design system in Drupal, in 3 steps
- Use SDC components directly on Drupal UI. With UI Patterns 2, load your UI components as blocks, layouts, formatters & view plugins, and use them with your display builders.
- A new icon management API for Drupal Core. Planned for 11.1, this API will be the "SDC of icons". Declare your packs, run the icons extractor, and use them everywhere.
- Design systems are not only components and icons. Let's leverage other UI artefacts (styles, helpers, modes, variables...).
