Super-host Mayda is once again inviting us to her magnificent and quirky backyard for a special pre-xmas hangout. Feel free to wear your most festive outfit to celebrate the holiday spirit. Note: rain date is December 14th.

Please bring a ready-to-eat dish or drink to share, as well as serving utensils. (Note you will not be able to prepare or store food in Mayda´s kitchen.) You can bring what you like, but everyone must bring something. We will also need you to bring a folding chair, as well as a few tables. We can also use bags of ice. Be sure to dress for the weather since this is mostly an outdoors event. Mayda has a firepit.

As always, the address will be provided a day or two before the event to those who have RSVPed. (Please make sure that you have enabled messages for this group in your Meetup communications settings.)

If you are considering the idea of offering to host a future event in your outdoor space, keep in mind that we take care of set-up and party supplies, as well as cleanup, along with many volunteers, and of course guests provide all the food and drink, as well as tables and chairs if needed. All you need do is provide the venue, some serving utensils, and trash/recycling bins. Your job is then to sit back, relax , and enjoy the party -- and your guests´ appreciation. And keep in mind the added perk: anyone who hosts a big potluck event (50 people +) at their home for this group will never need to languish on our waitlists -- you will automatically be confirmed for every big potluck event you wish to attend. How can anyone refuse such a great offer?

ANYONE WHO WISHES TO HELP OFFSET OUR COSTS OF RUNNING THIS GROUP (MEETUP FEES AND PARTY SUPPLIES) CAN CONTRIBUTE CASH AT OUR EVENTS OR MAKE A DONATION ON THE MEETUP PAGE, BUT THIS IS TOTALLY OPTIONAL AND WILL NOT AFFECT YOUR MEMBERSHIP.
