This new mini-Meetup is a series of informative events designed to help us all improve our health and energy as we age. We will provide opportunities to hear from speakers who are experts in their fields on topics of interest to those over age 60. The goal is to offer useful and life-enhancing information, tips and techniques for maintaining a healthier lifestyle and for navigating some of the challenges that aging sometimes entail.

Since we are currently in an open-enrolment period for Medicare, we are providing information on free informational seminars presented by Contra Costa County HICAP (Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program, both via ZOOM or in person. The in-person sessions are offered on various dates, times and locations. As for our unhosted events, if you are interested in an in-person session and would like to attend with other members, you can post below under Comments to arrange to meet or carpool to the event.

We hope to offer other useful, informative presentations on health and aging-related topics. If you have a relevant area of expertise, or can suggest a topic and speaker for a future event, please contact the organizers. We are especially interested in medical developments such as new treatments, techniques, devices, research, etc., as well as topics on healthy living for seniors.

IF YOU HAVE AN IDEA FOR A NEW MINI-MEETUP, PLEASE SHARE IT WITH THE OVER 60 SOCIAL GROUP ORGANIZERS. YOU WOULD NEED TO DECIDE ON A THEME, DATE AND TIME, VENUE, AND MAXIMUM NUMBER OF ATTENDEES. THEN SEND THE INFO TO US AND WE WILL POST IT TO ALL MEMBERS. WE ESPECIALLY ENCOURAGE NEWER MEMBERS TO CREATE THEIR OWN MINI-MEETUPS.
