We are happy to announce that our "spin-off" mini-Meetup, Living Alone, is now returning to the WC Over 60 Social Group, and is once again open to our members.

Founded by member Jane Ariel, the Living Alone group's purpose has been to create community and companionship with others who are living alone. It has been active for over a year, meeting every 1st and 3rd Sunday in Oakland, Berkeley or Walnut Creek. At our get-togethers, we find a subject of interest to talk about, and often do things together apart from meetings, whether seeing a movie, going to a concert or play, or some other event of interest. We have decided to open the group to new members again, and welcome you to join us for meaningful and lively discussions.

You are welcome to bring snacks and drinks to share.

The number of attendees is strictly limited, so only RSVP if you are reasonably sure you can attend. We anticipate that this will be a popular event and, if you are a no-show when there is a waitlist, you will be removed from the Over 60 group.

CAN´T MAKE IT, PLEASE CHANGE YOUR RSVP TO ¨NOT GOING.¨ AS FOR OUR LARGER EVENTS, IF YOU ARE A HABITUAL NO-SHOW (2 OR MORE), YOU WILL BE REMOVED FROM THIS GROUP.

IF YOU HAVE AN IDEA FOR A NEW MINI-MEETUP, PLEASE SHARE IT WITH THE OVER 60 SOCIAL GROUP ORGANIZERS. YOU WOULD NEED TO DECIDE ON A THEME, DATE AND TIME, VENUE, AND MAXIMUM NUMBER OF ATTENDEES. THEN SEND THE INFO TO US AND WE WILL POST IT TO ALL MEMBERS. WE ESPECIALLY ENCOURAGE NEWER MEMBERS TO CREATE THEIR OWN MINI-MEETUPS.
