Sober Sunday - Christmas Tree Lane + Tacos
Details
Join us for our third annual walk down Christmas Tree Lane here in Alameda, followed by tacos at one of my favorite Peruvian restaurants Cholita Linda!
We will meet at the corner of Fernside and 3291 Thompson Ave in Alameda.
Look for Rachel holding her light-up sign! Bring a travel mug and fill it with hot apple cider or herbal tea before we begin our tour of the famous holiday street. Expect to stroll slowly due to crowds/kids, and when we stop and look at all the decorations. It is a 0.4-mile round trip on flat pavement and should take approx 20-30 minutes depending on how slowly we go. Not to be missed is the music and light show at the Nightmare Before Christmas House!
Please note that parking can be tricky in this area because of the free night event and its popularity with families from all over the East Bay.
The restaurant is located at 1337 Park St Alameda, and there is free parking on neighboring streets, as well as the parking garage (free on Sundays!) at 1416 Oak St. which is rarely full and only a 4-minute walk away.
If you prefer a walk to the restaurant you can start from Christmas Tree Lane which is 1 mile away (20 min walk), and if you want a ride back to your car your hostess is happy to drive!
Event will be rescheduled if the weather becomes rainy.
