Hi all, for any new Rebels who don't know, this new years day coast walk & lunch has become some what of a Rebel tradition, we first did it on Jan 1st 2017, it's had various start points over the years, but The Belle Vue Tavern at Pegwell has become my fave. It is quite long, apx 2 & half hours/5 & half miles each way, but if you have a heavy night you can always start at King George VI park. We usually do some of it on the beach & some along the cliff top, making it feel a bit like a circular. Well earned lunch will be at The Pavilion On The Sands at Viking Bay, Broadstairs. The start time is half hour earlier than previous years 'cos we usually end up finishing the walk in the dark!
