Lakeshore Park Greenway 5K/10K w/ETW, Monday, Dec. 2nd, 9:00/10:00am

What: Join the East Tennessee Wanderers for a leisurely walk (5K or 10K) on the Lakeshore Park Greenway on the shores of Fort Loudoun Lake in Knoxville. Lakeshore Park is one of the most popular walking parks in Knoxville. Centrally located and an easy drive for everyone.

When: We will start the 10K walk at 9:00am and the 5K walk at 10:00am on Monday, December 2nd, 2024.

Where: We will meet at the parking lot adjacent to Ruggles Field at Lakeshore Park, 6410 S. Northshore Drive, Knoxville, TN 37919. The parking area is off Orchard Rd. in the park. Use "Ruggles Field" in your GPS search to help locate the correct parking area. This is also near the new Hank Rappe Playground. This walk is on a paved greenway with a couple of minor elevations. This walk is rated a 2A by the AVA. Look for the neon green shirts.

Details: This walk will also qualify for the Walk with America's Veterans special program sponsored by the AVA. The 10K group will make two loops around the park.

This is a sanctioned walk and the cost is $3.00, cash, payable to the walk leader at the start of the walk to cover sanctioning and insurance costs. Please arrive 15 minutes early for registration.

Dogs are allowed on a leash.
