Hike Briones Regional Park

Greetings all My next hike will be to Briones Regional Park Bear Creek Staging area. The Hike will be 4.94 miles with an elevation gain/loss of 400 feet. The Trail is mostly open and unshaded. This is December so it will be cool, wear something warm. Great views of Martinez and the Bay. To get there take the 24 to the Orinda Exit. Go North on Camino Pablo to Bear Creek Rd. Turn Right on Bear Creek Rd and take that until you see a sign on the right side of the road that says "Bear Creek ". If you are heading South, ie coming from north of Orinda, then the sing will be on your left. There will be a closed ticket booth that you will drive past on the way to the large dirt parking lot where you will park. Bring water, jacket, trail snacks/lunch. Hope to see you there. Norman
